During the second quarter of 2016, data from Orange County solid waste officials shows that FCC has become much more efficient in our daily collections; our customer service interruptions and recoveries have dropped by well over 50% compared to the first quarter of the year.
FCC is currently piloting two programs for the Orange County involving the latest technology utilizing both GPG and RFID processes. When a truck driver identifies a curbside bulk item, the driver simply pushes an observation button located within the cabin. The information is sent remotely and converted into a workable document for distribution to appropriate personnel for collection.
Utilizing the same technology, drivers are able to alert the solid waste staff about residents who are not disposing solid waste and recyclables correctly.
