FCC has been awarded to provide the treatment and marketing services of the recyclables of the City of Mesquite, Texas. The total value of the contract is approximately 1.3 million dollars with a contract term of up to 5 years.
The City of Mesquite has a population of 145,000 inhabitants and is one of the ten largest cities in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Together with Dallas, Garland, Mesquite and University Park, FCC will provide services for the treatment of recyclables to 2,000,000 people in the North of Texas.
With this last contract, FCC has ensured the treatment of 75,000 tons of recyclables for 2017, in its recently open MRF in Dallas. This contract is the seventh one signed by FCC in the past two years in the US, and is the fifth one in the State of Texas.
