City of Palm Coast (Florida) recently awarded FCC Environmental Services the contract for the collection of residential solid waste in Palm Coast, Florida. FCC will provide collection services to approximately 40k residential units.
The term of the contract is 7 years with an associated backlog of $115M, with one 3-year extension option, which would add to a total $175M backlog. It is important to highlight that Flagler County (8k residential units) has historically piggy-backed this contract, so that could mean an additional backlog of $35M. The total investment to provide services will be $15M and will create 72 jobs.
Palm Coast, is located just 22 miles from our current Volusia County Yard, is home to 90,000 residents and is a fast-growing community. The contract will commence on June 1st, 2023.
With this important award, FCC extends its presence in Florida, a state with over 21 million residents and one of the largest waste producers in the United States. FCC has signed 2.1 billion dollars in new contracts just during the last 6 months. Providing services to more than 9 million Americans, FCC is already one of the most important solid waste companies in the United States.
