FCC Environmental Awarded $170M contract in Orange County, Florida

On November 19th, 2024, Orange County voted to award FCC Environmental Services the contract for the collection of residential solid waste in zones 4 and 5 of Orange County, Florida, for a total of 77k residential units. The County has been divided in 6 zones and FCC was awarded the maximum number of zones that any single company can be awarded (2 out of 6).

The term of the contract is 7 years with an associated backlog of $170M. The total investment to provide services will be $32M and will involve approximately 100 jobs. The contract will commence on January 1, 2026 and it is important to highlight that FCC has been providing collection services in Orange County since January 1, 2016.

With this important renewal, FCC strengths its presence in Florida, a State with over 22 million residents and one of the largest waste producers in the United States. Providing services to more than 12 million Americans, FCC is already one of the most important solid waste companies in the United States.
