Transforming Waste into Sustainable Energy Solutions.
Advancing Renewable Energy Through Waste to Energy Solutions
FCC Environmental Services is transforming how communities manage waste — converting it into renewable power through safe, efficient, and sustainable Waste-to-Energy (WtE) operations.
Our Mission and Vision
At FCC Environmental Services, we believe waste is more than a challenge — it’s an opportunity.
Our Waste-to-Energy (WtE) initiatives are designed to reduce landfill use, recover valuable resources, and generate clean, renewable electricity that powers thousands of homes each day.
Through a combination of owned operations and public-sector partnerships, we’re helping to shape a sustainable energy future for Florida and beyond.
Our Waste to Energy Presence in Florida
FCC Environmental Services is proud to operate two major Waste-to-Energy facilities across the state:
Broward Waste-to-Energy Facility (Owned & Operated)
Located in Fort Lauderdale, this state-of-the-art facility converts approximately 2,250 tons of waste per day into clean, renewable energy. It provides electricity to more than 36,000 homes and serves as FCC’s flagship U.S. Waste-to-Energy operation. Learn more about our Broward Facility →
Pinellas County Waste-to-Energy Facility (Operated in Partnership)
Under a 10-year agreement with Pinellas County Government, FCC Environmental Services operates and manages the County’s WtE Facility — one of Florida’s largest and most advanced energy recovery plants. The facility processes 2,700 tons of waste daily, powers 45,000 homes, and recovers 30,000 tons of metal annually for recycling.
